The English reading curriculum in this section is divided into grade levels and is based on CA, NY, and CCSSI. More independent study topics will be added as the site continues to grow.
Curriculum - Kindergarten
Identify the front cover, back cover, and title page of a book
Follow words from left to right and from top to bottom
Understand printed materials provide information
Recognize sentences in print are made up of separate words
Distinguish letters from words
Recognize and name all uppercase and lowercase letters
Track and represent two and three isolated phonemes
Track and represent changes in simple syllables and words
