Educators,
Home Education Academic Program School (HEAPS) is a
community where teachers can contribute their knowledge and
students can find alternatives ways to learn.
Why HEAPS? The name encompasses the
terms home educators use when searching the Internet, ie:
home, education, academic, program, school. The intent was to tap into as much
search traffic as possible, and at the same time, spell out the catchy acronym,
HEAPS. Teachers please contribute your knowledge
and expertise to this site. Students please use these free materials as a
supplement to your regular curriculum. Home educators please help to build an
online resource which we can all use to educate our kids. |

and I currently reside in Japan with our son Shai who will be 3 years old this
year. Since we frequently move back and forth between our homes in Nara, Japan
and San Diego, California, we found home education our only viable option. We
spent years looking at online materials but could not find anything which suited
our needs. This was our motivation for making this site. You might be interested
